Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat patients according to and within the guidelines of current dental license and approved privileges.
• Provides oral health education as needed to patients, students, residents, and colleagues. Thoroughly documents within the electronic medical record the condition of the patient and any dental treatment the patient receives. Conforms to the published rules, regulations, and policies of the clinic and ethics of professional conduct.
• Participates in meetings as requested by clinical or operational leadership.
• May travel to and provide dental care at other locations or sites at the direction of clinical or operational leadership.      Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a team to facilitate the Clinic’s ability to meet its goals and objectives.
• Attains all agreed to goals and objectives within specified time frames, as part of the Clinic’s overall mission.
• Responsibly follows the Clinic Exposure Control Plans/Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens.
• Be responsible for the control of narcotics: administering, handling, inventory, and record keeping in accordance with the clinic’s Controlled Medication Policy.
• Assure that patient rights are observed and followed.
• Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
• Promotes the education and development of students, interns, residents, apprentices, and other new staff by sharing expertise,      responding to questions, and fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Education: Degree from a CODA-accredited pre-doctoral dental education program; Certificate from a CODA-Accredited advanced education in endodontics post-graduate program 

Minimum Work Experience: Clinical experience necessary.

Required Licenses/Certifications: Current, valid Missouri State specialist license in endodontics; Current BLS or ACLS Certificate required; DEA/BNDD certificate required; fully eligible to participate in federal, state, and private insurance plans; board-certification by the American Board of Endodontics preferred
