IT Compliance Analyst

Overview

Job Purpose

The New York Stock Exchange (an Intercontinental Exchange company) is growing its Information Technology Compliance (ITC) team, and we’re looking for an IT Compliance Analyst to help build what comes next. ITC owns the development, implementation, and management of NYSE’s risk-based IT compliance program, keeping our exchange technology aligned with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulation, industry standards, and internal policy.

 

You’ll work directly with regulators, senior technologists, and business leaders across NYSE and ICE, gaining a front-row view into how a top-tier exchange operates. You’ll gain the rare opportunity to learn advanced exchange technology concepts and bring your own judgment and problem-solving to take ownership in a fast-moving regulatory environment, where the details really matter.

 

Responsibilities

• Support efforts responding to external regulatory examinations and requests of NYSE’s IT systems, policies, and processes, often working across multiple business units under tight deadlines.
• Own activities that keep NYSE compliant with SEC Regulation Systems Compliance and Integrity (Reg SCI) and similar frameworks, adhering to strict reporting deadlines.
• Act as a connective thread between business, technology, regulatory, and legal teams to keep compliance objectives moving.
• Advise stakeholders on IT compliance topics that are often technically complex, translating between disciplines.
• Keep leadership informed through ongoing monitoring and reporting of compliance status.
• Dig into technical assessments of new systems, system changes, and software defects, spotting regulatory, operational, and functional risk and proposing compensating controls.

 

Knowledge and Experience

• 3+ years of experience in one or more of:
  • IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)
  • IT SDLC or business analysis
  • IT audit or controls assurance
  • Government or industry regulator role focused on technology compliance
  • Equities and options markets, automated trading, or low-latency market data
  • Regulatory compliance more broadly, ideally in financial services and/or fintech
• Relevant certifications a plus (ISACA, ISC², ITIL, etc.).
• Solid grounding in IT risk and control frameworks (COBIT, ISO, NIST, ITIL) and the ability to apply them to real exchange systems.
• Comfort reading and interpreting financial securities regulation.
• A self-starter: you’re energized by ambiguity, not stalled by it, and you bring good judgment and instinct to unfamiliar problems, proactively flagging what needs a closer look.
• Reliable follow-through: you take direction and run with it while knowing when to self-solve or escalate, never working on assumptions.
• Quick to learn: you often get it the first time, ask when you don’t, and move on to what’s next.
• Flexibility to be available outside traditional business hours when markets or regulatory deadlines demand it.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the versatility to explain complex technical topics to very different audiences.
• Interest in bringing automation to compliance workflows and data analysis (Python, AI tools, etc.). Experience is great, but willingness to learn is essential.

 

New York Base Salary Range 

The expected base salary for this role, if located in New York, is between $100,000 - 130,000 USD.  The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange’s incentive compensation.  While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual. Regular full-time ICE employees are eligible for a suite of competitive employee benefits, including healthcare coverage (medical, dental and vision), a 401(k) plan, life insurance, time off, and paid leave for qualifying circumstances. 

 

Illinois Base Salary Range 

The expected base salary for this role, if located in Illinois, is between $80,000 - 100,000 USD.  The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange’s incentive compensation.  While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual. Regular full-time ICE employees are eligible for a suite of competitive employee benefits, including healthcare coverage (medical, dental and vision), a 401(k) plan, life insurance, time off, and paid leave for qualifying circumstances.
