Title: Senior Embedded Security Engineer - 124484

## Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Embedded Security Engineer for John Deere World Headquarters located in Johnston, IA, you will:

• Design, develop, and validate security controls for resource-constrained embedded devices, using cryptographic technologies such as HSMs and trusted execution environments
• Define and review security architectures for embedded systems, influencing the design of new features (embedded, cloud and mobile) to ensure that our security needs can be met
• Support penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security validation activities to identify weaknesses and improve product resilience
• Support our teams developing the next generation of autonomous systems by designing and developing new security controls for those systems

## What Skills You Need

• 5 or more years experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting of embedded systems
• Programming experience in C, C++ and Python
• Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS), Linux and building concurrent systems
• Strong documentation, writing, and communications skills

## What Makes You Standout

• Experience in the application of cryptographic security controls for embedded systems (ex – enabling secure boot)
• Experience with ISO/SAE 21434 (Road Vehicle Cybersecurity Engineering)
• Experience in the development of embedded systems for vehicles
• Experience in the development of IoT devices
• PKI experience, including certificate lifecycle management and key protection

## Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field
