Role Overview:
The Paraplanner, Centralized Planning is responsible for delivering high-quality financial planning analysis and client-ready deliverables that support Advisors and Planners in serving clients effectively and efficiently. This role leverages deep technical expertise, standardized planning processes, and a biblical worldview to develop comprehensive financial planning solutions while upholding Blue Trust's standards of care and commitment to exceptional client service.
This position is a part of a Centralized Services team located in the Blue Trust National Office in Alpharetta, GA. Team members will serve client and advisory teams across the country under the direction of our Financial Planning Department.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Completes Financial Planning requests in a timely, high-quality manner, using standardized processes, and seeking to create the easiest path and least resistance for Advisors and Planners. Financial Planning requests include, but are not limited to:
- Creating Financial Plans for new clients in eMoney
- Updating Financial Plans for existing clients in eMoney
- Assisting with numerous aspects of the client meeting, including meeting preparation, follow-up deliverables, and occasional client meeting attendance
- Constructing Time-Based Allocation Recommendations in eMoney and investment proposals utilizing Investment Strategy Group (ISG) strategies
- Completing Tax Planning and Analysis in Holistiplan
- Analyzing and summarizing Estate Documents
- Analyzing and summarizing Life, Disability, and Long-Term Care Insurance Policies and Risk Exposure
- Completing Education Funding Needs Analysis
2. Collaborates professionally with planners, advisors, and clients to organize and prepare key financial planning deliverables for client meetings and other interactions.
3. Develops high quality, accurate, attractive, and professional reports and presentations that integrate a biblical worldview into financial recommendations. These reports will be consistent with standardized processes and proven methods for financial planning at Blue Trust.
4. Adheres to and follows the Blue Trust “Standards of Care” for client service counsel and deliverables
5. Seeks to continually increase knowledge of the financial planning philosophy and biblical principles upon which Blue Trust serves its client base through learning associated scripture memory verses in order to integrate Blue Trust’s philosophy into client counsel and services.
6. Exhibits technical knowledge and competency in cash flow planning and projections, education funding, debt management, income tax estimation and minimization, charitable giving strategies, retirement, insurance, and estate planning. Members of the Centralized Planning team are expected to develop the expertise to be subject matter experts across the whole of Blue Trust’s Advisory toolbox for client service, including Financial Plan Construction and Analysis, Portfolio Management and Implementation, and topic-specific analysis and recommendations.
7. Demonstrates computer literacy and knowledge of specialized office programs and demonstrates competency in utilizing software applications that are company-specific, including eMoney, Salesforce (CRM), Orion, and individual niche planning applications.
8. Understands and supports the counsel and biblical basis upon which Blue Trust serves its client base.
9. Approaches work, interactions, and relationships in a manner consistent with the company’s Core Values.
10. Maintains the highest Compliance standards by adhering to the company's Human Resource guidelines, Compliance policies and procedures, professional designation standards, and industry's regulatory standards to mitigate risk to the company.
11. Makes consistent progress toward professional development goals, including CFP® and CKA® certifications and Career Development Plan objectives.

Education, Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a finance-related field.
- Completion of the CFP® Board Education Requirement through either a Financial Planning Degree Program or a CFP® Board Education Provider is required.
- Prior experience is not required but would be valuable if it is related to financial planning and/or financial service, taxes, or accounting.
- Experience with industry tools and resources is a plus, including: eMoney, Holistiplan, Salesforce, and Zocks.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations:
- Selected candidates will be required to pursue and obtain the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and Certified Kingdom Advisor® (CKA®) designations within the first two years of employment.
- Financial Planning credentials are a plus, such as CFP®, CKA®, MBA, ChFC, CPA, etc.
- If you have a license to sell securities or insurance, you will need to allow your license to expire after leaving your prior employer. Because we are not a broker-dealer nor insurance company, employees are not allowed to “park” their license(s) with Blue Trust and cannot “park” their license(s) with another company.
