What You'll Do
- Implement and manage development, testing, automation tools, and infrastructure for internal and external stakeholders
- Implement and manage containerised environments
- Oversee code release and deployment processes
- Identify, manage, and maintain both new and existing software engineering tools and infrastructure
- Design and develop automations to improve software engineering efficiency and reduce risk
- Manage continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
- Solve interesting performance and architectural challenges
- Application scaling, performance management and metrics
- Mentoring and guiding other team members
Key Criteria
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of DevOps experience
- Deep CI/CD expertise (preferably GitLab)
- Hands-on Docker & Kubernetes management and deployment
- Knowledge of application security testing (SAST/DAST) and system security best practices
- Experience building enterprise applications, maintaining distributed systems, and monoliths
- PHP / Laravel background (highly regarded)
- Golang experience (highly regarded)
- Python, Java, or JavaScript knowledge (bonus)
- Telco industry & networking background (bonus)
Work setup:
- Manila (BGC, Taguig): Australian hours (6:00am–3:00pm PHT) with a flexible work arrangement.
