The Pharmacy Manager will play an important leadership role within this integrated setting, overseeing pharmacy operations while partnering closely with providers, clinical teams, and health center leadership to support medication access, safety, and quality. Summary
Directs daily operations of pharmacy services. This position directs and supports pharmacy staff and participates in determining the department's short- and long-term goals, as well as related policies and procedures. Provides leadership and guidance to pharmacy staff.
Essential Functions
Provides leadership, guidance, and serves as a role model to professionals under their supervision.
Supervises and directs the daily operations of pharmacy services; schedules and assigns staff.
Serves as a resource regarding pharmacy policies for pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff.
Participates in on-call responsibilities as assigned.
Oversees staff development and performance evaluations.
Assists with the recruitment, interviewing, and training of new staff.
Participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
Conducts educational programs, in-services, and staff meetings.
