Job Overview

Legacy Supply Chain is hiring a Freight Clerk to support our distribution center located in Oswego, IL. As a Freight Clerk, you will provide administrative support to the customer and operations to ensure business requirements are consistently met by maintaining clerical duties on the warehouse floor. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package including a 401(k) plan with up to a 5% company match.

Schedule and Compensation

• Tuesday through Friday - 4:45am to 3:15pm; starting pay rate $20.00 per hour
• Eligible for a monthly bonus of up to $1.05 per hour

Job Details

What to expect as a Freight Clerk:

• Process paperwork for all live and drop appointments prior to appointments arriving
• Signing of Bills based on quantity received
• Generate paperwork for add on appointments
• Account for shortage or damages of product on the BOLs
• Ensure all Bills are stamped for shipments received and refused
• Generate paper work for Drop Trailers
• Ocean and International billing and document tracking
• Track and report Trailer Dispatches timely
• Pre-pare all receiving packets
• Forward OS&D in a timely manner
• Support Administrative Staff as required

Qualifications:

• Detail oriented with ability to demonstrate skill in business analysis, and/or a track record in executing company standards successfully.
• Ability to effectively communicate, interact and convey business decisions with many different levels within the organization.
• Knowledge of receiving, shipping, inventory systems, supply chain management, logistics, customer service, reporting, system analysis, equipment and warehouse functionality.
• Proven success in maintaining quality, service and client relationships in a high-paced setting.
• Strong computer skills with proven competencies in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
