Finance & Control department in Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is a part of Global Finance organization and responsible for full accounting and financial reporting cycle for Circle K European operations. Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is looking for:

Accountant for Netherlands business unit in Station Accounting Team

Type of Employment: Permanent

Location: Riga, Latvia

Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA

Main responsibilities:

• Respond to queries from site managers, representatives of business units, and/or external partners if required;

• Check, prepare and process journal entries, based on information received from the business unit and other partners;

• Issue invoices to franchise stations and prepare payouts;

• Answer questions from other Company units on processed financial records;

• Perform periodical closing procedures;

• Perform balance sheet account reconciliation and analysis, resolve discrepancies and errors;

• Handle audit requests;

• Execute and document process controls related to financial compliance;

• Contribute to process improvement projects.

Main requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or a student within this area;

• Previous experience in accounting, finance, or audit field;

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and willingness to learn new systems;

• Excellent organizing abilities and attention to detail;

• Fluent English (verbal and written); proficiency in Dutch is preferred but not required, to communicate with colleagues across Europe;

• Ability to analyze things, and conduct investigations on discrepancies.
