This position reports to:
Supply Quality Manager__
Your Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for a Supplier Quality & Development Engineer to strengthen our Quality team and drive excellence in our supplier network. You will play a key role in deploying the supplier quality strategy, fostering a culture of quality, and ensuring robust systems, tools, and capabilities are in place to meet and exceed customer expectations. Your focus will be on ensuring supplier performance through prevention, continuous improvement, effective root cause analysis, and sustainable problem resolution. You will collaborate closely with procurement, engineering, and other relevant functions to ensure suppliers meet quality requirements and to support world-class operational performance. Familiarity with international quality standards is essential to ensure compliance and continuous improvement across the supply base.

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:
Promoting and sharing the use of ABB Quality Wins preferred techniques for continuous improvement to Suppliers.
Promoting and planning technical audits to Suppliers.
Monitoring the Supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and proactively managing team to promote actions to limit the impact on quality.
Planning supplier validation and qualification audits and sub-tier suppliers based on Quality Wins and Continuous improvements methodologies and ABB procedures.
Planning process audits on Supplier New Product introduction (NPI).
Developing and maintaining the IQMS Integrated Quality Management System.
Qualifications for the Role
Master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or similar).
Knowledge in plastic and metallic parts manufacturing process and validation will be considered a plus.
Knowledge of quality control processes & Statistical Analysis and “Quality Wins” methodologies is a plus.
Commitment to deliver results by taking responsibility to execute assigned tasks and projects.
Experience in technical context. Knowledge of certification (ISO9001 / ISO-TS) is a plus.
You're at ease communicating in Italian and English
Positive thinking, proactivity, team working and empathy are considered as assets.
Compensation Package

Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico
Minimum annual salary: € 36.000
Variable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus
