Organization & Department Overview
The Master and Reference Data (MRD) organization is responsible for providing authoritative sources of reference data across the enterprise, through implementing state-of-the-art technologies and operational processes which promote the collection, storage, analysis, and distribution of product, pricing, account, and corporate action data. The MRD organization works in partnership with data clients across global business lines, deploying solutions to increase competitiveness through restructuring business processes, simplifying information access, and providing business intelligence around critical data.
Team Overview
This Corporate Actions Product & Data Team works on a global strategic technology platform - Global Corporate Action Event Repository. Major tasks involve - processing Vendor Data Feeds, Analyzing and Researching Data, Working on Swift Messages, User Interface, Data publishing to downstream clients (via Cloud, custom publisher), Rules and Governance, Audit, Compliance. Coverage, Completeness, Accuracy, and Timeliness of information are the key drivers. Client and User requirements drive the overall product roadmap. It is a global team.
Job Description
- Lead Business and Functional Requirements, Epics, and User Stories for complex Corporate Action initiatives
- Drive Product Backlog management, refinement, and sprint prioritization
- Lead Data Modelling, Mapping across vendors and internal feeds
- Data Mining, Profiling, Transformation, and advanced SQL validation
- Work closely with stakeholders – Clients across lines of businesses, Operational partners, IT, PMO
- Drive interface strategy and design - Web GUI / API
- Lead engagements with Data Providers and Vendors (Internal & External)
- Define and govern Golden Copy rules and vendor source hierarchy logic
- Identify opportunities for automation, process streamlining, and AI-ready data use cases
- Manage senior stakeholder expectations, roadmap delivery, user training, and release governance
Required Skills
- Working with senior stakeholders - clients and business partners to capture business and product requirements
- Strong analytical skills, with extensive experience in documenting functional/technical specifications, epics, and user stories
- Expertise in Master or Reference Data space (preferred Instrument or Corporate Actions lifecycle)
- Validation and testing in collaboration with Dev/QA/Operations
- Experience with business process reengineering, business systems development, and modern system architectures (Cloud, APIs)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as a senior individual contributor and manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and understanding of data models
- Data oriented with excellent attention to detail
Preferred / Good to Have Skills
- Understanding of AI/GenAI fundamentals and how to structure "AI-ready" reference data
- Exposure to process automation, workflow streamlining, or intelligent data quality checks
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Proven ability to use complex analytical, interpretive and problem-solving techniques
- Proven interpersonal, data analysis, diplomatic, management and prioritization skills
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Proven self-motivation to take initiative and master new tasks quickly
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically with attention to detail
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
