Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries Fab 9, Essex, VT is seeking a motivated, experienced Registered Nurse to join their Health Services team. This is a full-time position with the Environmental, Health, Safety and Security team, reporting to the Manager, Health Services with responsibility for providing occupational medical services to employees. This role will be fully on site at our Essex, VT facility Monday - Friday daytime hours, with some flexibility as needed.
Essential Responsibilities:
Lead for Workers Compensation: Provide case management for all US occupational injuries with integrated management as the liaison between employees, managers, internal business partners, healthcare providers and insurers
Perform ergonomic assessments & evaluations as requested
Plan, develop, implement and lead Wellness Program/Health promotions sponsored by EHS&S for all US sites. Collaborate and coordinate activities with business partners
Perform all actions (clinical services, indirect & direct nursing care) within scope per State Nurse Practice Act
Ensure mandated programs are completed to comply with applicable regulations.
Actively participate in work teams and committees
Manage clinic medical supply inventory in adherence to budget
Gather data for all required program reporting.
Provide case management for return to work and reasonable accommodation requests. Collaborate with employees, medical personnel, Management, Safety, Human Resources, Benefits and Legal as required. Engage in interactive process with employees for employment related reasonable accommodation. Review and analyze medical documentation.
Adhere to applicable laws, regulations and employer policies concerning confidentiality, privacy and protection of personal and medical information
Provide primary, secondary and coordinating tertiary care to employees in compliance with the State Nurse Practice Act
Maintain medical records both in electronic and paper form. Ensure confidentiality and security of these records in accordance with applicable laws
Provide clinical support in conjunction with the on-site contracted health team including performance of all training and medical testing associated with medical surveillance exams (such as audiometry, spirometry, phlebotomy, vision, EKG)
Perform drug screen collection and Breath Alcohol Testing as needed
Provide health counseling to employees including coordinating patient education with appropriate referrals
Lead clinic quality assurance/improvement projects
Assist with clinic equipment maintenance and associated equipment calibrations
Perform monthly audits
Lead program management for Clinical Lab Services
Provide employees with foreign travel education and immunization
Assist with gathering of data for all required program reporting
Travel to other GFfacilities to provide back-up support when needed
Other nursing duties/task as assigned
Actively participate in continuous improvement processes, learning and skills development
Adhere to applicable laws, regulations and employer policies concerning confidentiality, privacy, ethics and protection of medical information
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Other duties as assigned by manager / supervisor
Required Qualifications:
Education: BS/BA in Nursing or associate's degree in nursing from accredited school
Experience: Minimum 2+ years in case management, workers compensation case management or related field
Minimum 2+ years' experience in corporate healthcare, community health, occupational health or urgent care/emergency room setting
Current Registered Nursing license in State of Vermont
BLS Certification
Ability to interpret medical documentation
Excellent interpersonal skills and phone manners and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Ability to learn and attain proficiency with other company specific software programs
Ability to set priorities and work independently
Ability to work a variable work schedule to accommodate a 24/7 manufacturing setting
Ability to travel to other GlobalFoundries' sites
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with structured problem-solving techniques
Familiarity with Cority Software
Familiarity with Workers Compensation
Expected Salary Range
$72,000.00 - $126,000.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
