Department: Specialized Roles
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Global+
Reporting To: Client via Magic
Compensation: $7.00 / hour
Description
About the Client
Our client is a distribution company with nearly 20 years of experience selling brand-name products through major ecommerce marketplaces, including Amazon and eBay. They are now expanding their operations into the Walmart Marketplace (walmart.ca) and are looking to build out a dedicated function to support this growth. The company has a proven track record of successfully working with remote assistants and is looking to bring on specialized talent as part of that continued expansion.
Why does this role exist?
As the client expands into the Walmart Marketplace, they lack the internal time and platform-specific expertise to manage this channel effectively on their own. This role exists to fill that gap immediately — the client needs someone who can independently manage day-to-day Walmart Marketplace operations from day one, with no ramp-up or training required. The mission of this role is to help the client grow a healthy, well-managed Walmart sales channel by keeping inventory flowing, issues resolved, and processes documented as the business scales.
The Impact you’ll make
Sell-Through & Performance Monitoring
- Monitor daily and weekly sell-through performance on Walmart Marketplace
- Identify trends or anomalies in sales velocity and flag them proactively
- Track key account health metrics on the platform
Inventory & Replenishment Management
- Review warehouse inventory levels on an ongoing basis
- Prepare replenishment orders and submit for approval
- Apply inventory turns and replenishment logic to avoid stockouts or overstock
Shipment Creation & Logistics
- Create and manage shipments to Walmart fulfillment/warehouse locations
- Ensure shipments are accurate, timely, and compliant with Walmart's requirements
Stale Inventory & Issue Resolution
- Monitor for slow-moving or stale inventory and take appropriate action (recall stock, run ads, or escalate to the Walmart rep)
- Open and manage support cases when issues arise on the platform
- Troubleshoot day-to-day platform issues independently
Process & Systems Development
- Help build and document repeatable systems and SOPs over time
- Continuously refine workflows as the Walmart channel matures
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required:
- Proven, hands-on experience managing a seller account on Walmart Marketplace (Seller Center)
- Demonstrated ability to open, manage, and resolve platform support cases independently
- Experience with inventory management and replenishment processes in an ecommerce context
- Comfortable creating and managing shipments to a marketplace platform
- Available to work Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm EST, full-time (40 hrs/week)
Your superpowers are...
- Technical:
- Deep, working knowledge of Walmart Marketplace/Seller Center navigation and functionality
- Understanding of inventory turns, stock forecasting, and replenishment logic
- Experience with ecommerce marketplace operations more broadly (Amazon, eBay, or similar, is a plus)
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting sell-through and inventory data
- Process documentation and SOP creation - Soft skills:
- Highly self-directed with strong ownership of tasks — comfortable operating with minimal oversight
- Proactive problem-solver who escalates issues before they become bigger problems
- Detail-oriented, especially around inventory numbers and shipment accuracy
- Clear, organized communicator
- Adaptable to evolving priorities as the Walmart channel scales
WFH Set-Up:
- Computer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up.
- Internet speed of at least 40MBPS
- Headset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation and a webcam
- Back-up computer and internet connection
- Quiet, dedicated workspace at home
You should apply if...
- You thrive when given ownership over a channel and don't need to be told what "good" looks like — you already know because you've done this before.
- You're the type of person who notices a slow-moving SKU before anyone asks, and you'd rather solve a platform issue yourself than wait for direction.
- You care about getting the details right (inventory counts, shipment accuracy, case follow-ups) because you understand how much those small things affect the bigger picture.
- You're comfortable working independently in a remote, asynchronous-friendly environment, but you also value building solid systems and documentation so the work outlives any one person doing it.
