Lifespace Communities is seeking a high-potential Associate Executive Director who wants to accelerate their career, broaden their leadership experience, and prepare to step into a future Executive Director role within the Lifespace organization.
This is a highly mobile leadership opportunity. You must be willing to travel across the Lifespace portfolio, accept temporary assignments, including serving as an interim Executive Director and relocating for a permanent Executive Director position when the right opportunity becomes available.
What You’ll Do
Partner with Executive Directors to lead day-to-day community operations.
Serve in temporary/interim Executive Director assignments across Lifespace communities as business needs arise.
Lead and develop department directors and community teams.
Oversee operational performance, budgets, P&L, quality, compliance, and resident experience.
Partner with Sales to support occupancy and revenue goals.
Lead team member and resident engagement initiatives.
Manage complex operational challenges and enterprise-wide projects.
Build the experience and leadership capabilities needed to become a successful Executive Director.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of progressive leadership experience in senior living.
Leadership experience with P&L responsibility, budgets, and multiple departments or teams.
Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, gerontology, hospitality, or related field; master’s preferred.
LNHA/Nursing Home Administrator experience strongly preferred.
Life Plan Community/CCRC experience highly preferred.
Willingness to travel extensively and accept temporary assignments across Lifespace communities.
Willingness to relocate for a permanent Executive Director opportunity.
