Retail Associate - Career Path

As a Retail Associate at Mountain Hardware and Sports, you will have the opportunity to engage customers with expert advice across all store departments. Work location: on-site (Donner Pass)

Schedule: full-time (8hr shift - 40hrs/week)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with finding products, answering questions, and providing detailed product knowledge cross-departmentally

• Provide detailed product knowledge and demonstrate features and benefits to help customers make informed decisions

• Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system

• Ability and willingness to learn in each department in the store

• Assist with merchandising, stocking, loading/unloading merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness

• Stay informed on industry trends, new products, and promotions to provide relevant information

Skills and Qualifications

• Must be able to work in the United States

• Must be at least 18 years or older

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English

• Must have ability to distinguish and decipher colors for mixing and matching

• Must have ability to lift up to 56lbs

• Must have ability to use a ladder

• Ability to use provided computer, programs, and technology-based equipment when needed

• Ability to perform duties in a fast-paced, confined environment while maintaining focus and efficiency

• Ability to multi-task

Experience

• Customer service: 1+ year (preferred)

• Retail experience: 1+ year (preferred)
