JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY: Food Production - Line Opr PR04 - Full-Time
Starting pay: $20.85/HR
This position is responsible for leading a team-oriented, food-safe environment with a strong emphasis on product quality, personal safety, and employee satisfaction. This employee will support all safety programs, policies, and procedures and have a personal value system that will assist in creating a work environment that is based on trust, human dignity, and honesty ,which in turn will contribute to a high quality of life for all employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include, but are not limited to the following)
- Team Member supervision including but not limited to training, retention/teambuilding, discipline, absenteeism, and managing overtime and all appropriate paperwork.
- Ensure a safe, wholesome product consistently by referring to and following product specifications and completing all applicable paperwork/reports, downtime, coach worksheet, HACCP, etc.
- Complete production measurement reports such as yield studies, line and product efficiency studies, box weights, overfill and cost giveaways, and inedible.
- Review SAP reports, including production specifications, inventory reports and inquiries, and job packets.
- Ensure a clean, safe work environment, including leading rotation and stretching exercises for your team. Verify that these are completed as required.
- Become fluent in the processes of setting up and tearing down all equipment and support equipment relevant to the operation.
- Selects, installs, and aligns appropriate tools, guides, and stops to set up the machine.
- Sets controls to synchronize machine actions for various operations on the workpiece in a specified sequence.
- Starts machine to produce sample product and measures for conformance with specifications.
- Adjust settings to obtain products meeting specifications and quality standards.
- Starts machine to begin production and observes machine operations for evidence of malfunction and products for defects.
- Complete training to educate self on HACCP, CCPs, SSOPs, and GMPs
- Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 5-10 pounds and/or move up to 300 pounds 100% of the time.
- Must be willing and able to work in a cold environment (30 -40°F temperatures).
- Must be willing and able to walk and reach with hands and arms 100% of the time.
- Must be willing and able to use their hands and fingers to handle or feel 100% of the time.
- Must be willing and able to stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch, or crawl 100% of the time up to 10 hours per day.
