Overview
The Recruiter will play a key role for the Neurobehavioral Unit (NBU) in exposing potential applicants to the Clinical Assistant position by using innovative recruiting techniques to attract and compete in the local market. The incumbent will recruit, screen, and process applicants for the Clinical Assistant position; maintain interview schedules; and collect and provide data regarding the hiring process and NBU recruitment procedures. This position will travel to and make presentations at various colleges, universities, and area career fairs in an effort to maintain adequate staffing levels for the Clinical Assistant position.
Responsibilities
1. Maintain up-to-date graphs and data summaries of the hiring process, to include collecting data on candidates’ responses to employment ads, monitoring available requisitions, documenting applicant progress through the “Applicant Pipeline”, and updating and analyzing event rating and university partnership.
2. Provide suggestions to Director, Direct Care Services regarding renewal or discontinuation of displayed advertisements each quarter (or as needed).
3. Coordinate the hiring process for Clinical Assistants by providing information to applicants about available positions, pre-screening candidates, generating routine correspondence, performing employment verification, scheduling and conducting interviews, conducting tours of the Neurobehavioral Unit, timely applicant processing, and making final hiring decisions.
4. Recruit Clinical Assistant staff by contacting local universities on a regular basis and providing presentations on job opportunities, attending job fairs and other University-sponsored events, and collecting data on the number of interested candidates per event.
5. Submit job fair itinerary to Director, Direct Care Services for monthly approval.
6. Procure leads for job fairs, employment consortiums, and other potential employment events. Network with professors and administrators at area universities to schedule employment presentations each month.
7. Work collaboratively and effectively with the recruitment team, to include delegating recruitment efforts (participation at local fairs, interviews, etc.) as needed, updating shared calendar of events, maintaining organized recruitment files and paperwork, and communicating pertinent recruitment needs (alterations to schedule, upcoming events, etc.).
8. Identify opportunities for advertising and recruitment. Identify opportunities and implement/improve the quality and efficiency of the recruitment process.
9. Assign Clinical Assistants to a Program Specialist for purposes of supervision.
10. Maintain appropriate employee files.
11. Monitor/review recruitment materials and update/contact college and university contacts at least quarterly to ensure that ads and literature are properly displayed and content information is correct.
Qualifications
Must have access to reliable transportation.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum one year of experience coordinating professional correspondence and recruiting/interviewing potentials candidates for employment is highly preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience with data analysis and entry (e.g. Excel, graphing packages) is highly preferred.
