Position Overview
The organization is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Endocrinologist (MD/DO) for a part-time/per diem outpatient opportunity in Shelton, Connecticut.
This role is primarily focused on outpatient endocrinology, with minimal inpatient responsibilities. It offers an excellent opportunity for an endocrinologist seeking flexible clinical work within a collaborative, academically affiliated healthcare environment.
Experienced endocrinologists, fellows, and early-career physicians are encouraged to apply.
Essential Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad spectrum of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, adrenal disorders, and pituitary conditions
- Provide comprehensive outpatient care with an emphasis on long-term disease management and prevention
- Collaborate with primary care physicians and other specialists to coordinate patient care
- Interpret diagnostic studies, including hormone assays, imaging, and metabolic testing
- Educate patients regarding lifestyle modifications, medication management, and preventive care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical practices
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Residency training in Internal Medicine required
- Fellowship training in Endocrinology required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology
- Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure
- Experienced endocrinologists, fellows, and new graduates are welcome to apply
