MANAGING DIRECTOR

Location: Skopje, North Macedonia

About the Opportunity

This is an executive leadership role for an accomplished business professional with a strong background in logistics, freight forwarding, courier services, transportation, or supply chain management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the company's overall business operations, driving sustainable growth, optimizing operational performance, and strengthening the company's market position while ensuring outstanding customer service and financial performance. The company operates across international logistics and transportation services, including road, air, sea freight, warehousing, customs brokerage, and courier solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall business strategy and daily operations of the company.
• Develop and execute short-term and long-term business growth plans.
• Drive commercial development and identify new business opportunities.
• Manage and optimize logistics, transportation, warehousing, and operational processes.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality.
• Build, lead, mentor, and develop high-performing management teams.
• Monitor financial performance, budgets, profitability, and operational KPIs.
• Establish and strengthen strategic partnerships with customers, suppliers, and international partners.
• Improve operational efficiency through process optimization and digital transformation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with local and international logistics regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
• Report business performance and strategic initiatives to shareholders and senior stakeholders.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• University degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 7–10 years of leadership experience within logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, courier, or supply chain organizations.
• Proven experience managing large operational teams and multi-site operations.
• Strong commercial mindset with demonstrated success in business development.
• Excellent understanding of international logistics operations and supply chain management.
• Strong financial and analytical capabilities.
• Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and performance management.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to make decisions in a dynamic and fast-paced business environment.
• Fluent English is mandatory; additional regional languages will be considered an advantage.
• Proficiency in modern business systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office.
