As a Travel Program RN, you will provide high-quality nursing care, assist with planning and evaluations, and support day-to-day clinical functions. Assignment at William R. Sharpe Jr. Hospital in Weston, WV is full-time with a limit of up to 12 months. You can apply permanently at the facility at any time.
Applicants selected for employment must successfully complete a criminal background check and a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug screening test. All employees shall be subject to drug testing for probable cause as set forth in policies. Travel may be required.
Patient Care: Administer top-quality nursing care to patients and residents, ensuring the highest standards of practice. Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct intake assessments, administer first aid and medications, and perform health screenings. Care Planning: Assist in developing and evaluating individualized care plans, tailored to the unique needs of each patient. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for all patients, documenting changes in their condition and treatments provided. Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, supervisors, and other healthcare staff to coordinate and implement effective patient care. Education and Training: May provide guidance and direction to LPNs, CNAs, and other staff members. Participate in the orientation and training of new staff. Administrative Duties: Enter patient information into various electronic systems, ensure adherence to healthcare policies and regulations, and communicate urgent medical needs to relevant personnel. Patient Advocacy: Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring clear communication and understanding of patient care plans.
Licensure/Certifications: | Current West Virginia license or temporary permit to practice as a registered nurse. |
