Role Purpose:
The Information Management Specialist is responsible for providing specialist expertise and oversight in Records Management by implementing and embedding records governance practices, standards and controls across the organisation. The role ensures that records are managed throughout their lifecycle in compliance with regulatory, legal and business requirements while supporting effective information governance.
The incumbent acts as the Records Management subject matter expert and works closely with Information Owners, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Technology and Business stakeholders to embed records management practices across the enterprise.
Are you someone who can:
- Develop, implement and embed records management frameworks, standards, procedures and controls aligned to regulatory, legal and governance requirements.
- Oversee records lifecycle activities, including classification, retention, destruction, evidence of disposition and audit-ready documentation.
- Conduct maturity assessments, gap analyses and remediation planning to strengthen records management practices across the organisation.
- Partner with business units to establish records ownership, accountability and compliance within processes, systems and ways of working.
- Prepare governance reporting and insights for management committees, audits, reviews and risk forums.
- Provide specialist guidance, training and stakeholder support to promote consistent records management best practice.
You will be an ideal candidate if you:
- Degree or Diploma in Information Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field
- 2–5 years’ experience in information management, data management, data governance, records management, or related specialist roles

- Information risk, privacy and compliance management
