Medical Assistant – Full Time (Vera Whole Health)Location: 2570 Blackmon Drive, Suite 400, Decatur, GA 30033
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 8:00am–5:00pm; Thursday 9:30am–6:30pm No weekends
Pay: $20–$24.50/hr
Experience: 1–2 years required Certification: Must be a Certified
Medical Assistant Clinic Type: Primary Care (2 providers; 8–15 patients/day)

About the Role
Vera Whole Health is seeking a reliable, patient‑focused Certified Medical Assistant to support our primary care clinic. You’ll work closely with two providers, assist with clinical tasks, manage patient flow, and help deliver exceptional care. We’re looking for someone with strong clinical skills, excellent attendance, and a team‑oriented mindset.
How will you make an impact & Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Take vital signs, perform system reviews, and complete point‑of‑care testing
Administer injections, immunizations, and oral medications
Perform strong phlebotomy, EKGs, and specimen processing
Assist providers with diagnostic tests, treatments, and procedures
Observe and document patient reactions
Provide routine patient education and support care‑management needs
Track preventive care, referrals, and follow‑up testing
Coordinate with specialists and outreach for care gap closures
Set up exam and procedure rooms using proper sterile technique
Support front‑office tasks when needed (phones, scheduling, patient registration)
Maintain inventory and restock supplies
Document accurately in the EMR and follow HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA standards
Participate in team huddles, training, and quality‑improvement activities
Travel to nearby sites or events when required
Demonstrate excellent customer service and teamwork
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Certified Medical Assistant (required)
1–2 years of experience (primary care or urgent care preferred)
Strong phlebotomy, injection, and EKG skills
Experience documenting in an EMR
Ability to set up exam/procedure rooms using sterile technique
Reliable, punctual, and committed to excellent attendance
Strong communication and customer‑service skills
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinic
Team‑oriented, adaptable, and committed to patient‑centered care

Compensation Range:

The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting.
