We are looking for a Business Domain Solution Architect to lead the architecture of our Operations Business Domain, covering critical post-trade and operational functions including:
Collateral Management
Settlements
Reconciliation
One Stop Processing (OSP)
This role combines the responsibilities of Business Domain Architect, System Architect, and SBI Architect, making it one of the most strategic architecture positions within the organization.
You will define the architectural vision for a major business domain, influence product strategy, shape large-scale platform evolution, and ensure successful delivery across multiple development organizations and agile trains.
Your Mission
As the architectural leader for the Operations domain, you will ensure that business solutions evolve coherently with Murex's platform strategy while delivering measurable value to clients and market participants.
You will serve as the primary architecture partner for business domain management, product management, development teams, and platform architects, ensuring alignment between business objectives, software architecture, and execution strategy.
What You Will Do
Business Domain Architecture
Own the target architecture and roadmap for the Operations domain.
Drive the evolution of business capabilities across collateral, settlement, reconciliation, and processing workflows.
Translate strategic business challenges into scalable platform solutions.
Ensure architectural consistency across products, services, and software functions.
Define and maintain business solution blueprints and domain architecture documentation.
SBI Architecture Leadership
Define and communicate SBI-level architecture.
Ensure epics, features, and implementation roadmaps align with business and platform architecture objectives.
Drive architectural trade-offs, investment decisions, sequencing, and dependency management.
Collaborate across domains and agile trains to ensure coherent delivery and long-term sustainability. (Derived from the SBI Architect responsibilities shown in the provided material.)
System Architecture
Guide agile trains in delivering solutions aligned with architecture principles and standards.
Ensure architecturally significant requirements are identified, documented, and addressed.
Manage technical debt and architectural runway investments.
Validate solution designs through architecture governance processes.
Mentor teams and raise architectural maturity across the organization.
Architectural Governance
Lead architecture reviews and decision-making processes.
Own Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and architecture governance practices.
Define and maintain standards, guidelines, design principles, and reference architectures.
Influence strategic technology choices and platform evolution.

Architecture vision and multi-year roadmap
Domain blueprints and target-state architectures
Architecture Decision Records (ADRs)
High-level solution and integration diagrams
Capability and non-functional architecture documentation
Governance frameworks and architecture standards
Executive architecture communications and strategy presentations
What We're Looking For
Required Experience
Extensive experience designing large-scale enterprise software platforms.
Strong software architecture expertise covering distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, event-driven systems, integration platforms, scalability, resilience, and security.
Proven experience leading architecture across multiple teams and products.
Experience influencing strategic technology decisions without direct authority.
Strong understanding of software delivery within agile organizations.
Demonstrated ability to mentor senior engineers and architects.
