About the Role

We are seeking experienced ICU Registered Nurses to support intensive care teams in the Northern Territory. These positions offer the opportunity to provide specialist nursing care to critically ill patients, supporting complex treatment and recovery while contributing to safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centred nursing care within the Intensive Care Unit

• Assess, monitor, and manage critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and organ support

• Care for patients requiring invasive and non-invasive ventilation

• Administer and titrate prescribed medications and infusions within your scope of practice and facility protocols

• Monitor haemodynamic status, recognise clinical deterioration, and respond to emergencies

• Manage invasive lines and support the delivery of advanced therapies within your clinical competencies

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support patients’ families throughout their ICU admission

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to facility protocols

What you'll need

• Current AHPRA Registration (Registered Nurse Division 1)

• Minimum 2 years post-graduate nursing experience in an Intensive Care Unit

• Recent experience caring for mechanically ventilated patients

• Confidence with haemodynamic monitoring and management of critically ill patients

• Experience administering and titrating prescribed vasoactive infusions

• ALS certification highly regarded

• Postgraduate qualifications in Intensive Care or Critical Care nursing highly regarded

• Ability to work confidently in fast-paced clinical environments

• Australian working rights
