What You'll Do
As an Operational Accounting Associate, you will help ensure the smooth execution of key accounting and finance operations by:
• Supporting the timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions while maintaining strong financial controls.
• Performing account reconciliations, identifying discrepancies, and resolving outstanding items efficiently.
• Assisting with month-end close activities to help ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Preparing and supporting journal entries and other general accounting transactions.
• Maintaining data integrity within Accounts Payable systems and validating supporting documentation.
• Monitoring financial transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Investigating and resolving payment-related inquiries from vendors and internal business partners.
• Performing bank reconciliations and helping maintain accurate operational accounting records.
• Generating, analyzing, and interpreting financial reports that support management decision-making.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve workflows, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency.
• Participating in process improvement and automation projects that drive operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
• Associate Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of one (1) year of accounting or accounting support experience.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data retrieval, formulas, and reporting.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external business partners.
Preferred Strengths
• Experience supporting Accounts Payable, General Ledger, or Operational Accounting functions.
• Familiarity with financial reconciliations and month-end close processes.
• Interest in process improvement, efficiency initiatives, and automation projects.
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer-service mindset when working with vendors and stakeholders.
• Passion for continuous learning and professional growth within accounting and finance.
