Description
This is a HYBRID work environment located in either Mexico City or Guadalajara
To ensure highly reliable, efficient, and production order management processes within SAP S/4HANA. The role stabilizes end‑to‑end manufacturing execution processes, supports business users through L2/L3 sustain operations, supports continuous improvement, and ensures seamless integration across Plan‑to‑Make, Supply Chain Planning, Shop‑Floor Execution, and Quality modules. The position directly contributes to manufacturing service levels, capacity utilization, and operational excellence in the GBS Sustain Operations environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide L2/L3 support for SAP S/4HANA production order management, including production order creation, production order
- release, component staging, consumption, confirmation.
- Ensure a close integration to the EWM system for staging, consumption and goods receipt booking.
- :Support master data governance for routing, BOMs, work centres/resources, production versions, planning parameters, classification,
- relevant PP/DS and MRP attributes.
- Analyse obstructions in the execution process; recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Support integration across ePP/DS, MM, , APO/IBP, QM and EWM ensuring a highly reliable execution of the production processes
- and the reflection of the physical processes in the S/4 HANA system. Manage change requests and enhancement deployments in alignment with global process owners and IT governance.
- Support continuous improvement (CI) initiatives to enhance production execution stability and increase production efficiency.
- Support production mangers and production worker with system expertise and troubleshooting guidance
- Develop training materials and conduct sessions for managers, workers and plant users. Support SIT/UAT during release cycles, upgrades, and functional enhancements.
- Collaborate with Finance and Costing teams for production execution related cost impact assessments.
- Support new plant onboarding and PP template rollouts.
- Contribute to digital manufacturing initiatives e.g. MES integration
- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity simulations.
Education:
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Management, or related fields. APICS/ASCM CPIM preferred; SAP PP certification advantageous.
Skills and Requirements:
- 6–9 years in Production Planning and Execution.
- 4+ years hands-on SAP PP (S/4HANA preferred;).
- Knowledge of QM and EWM
- Experience in manufacturing environments across discrete/process industries.
- GBS/CoE or sustain operations experience preferred.
- PP in batch and serial number managed environment
- Production related sub-processes e.g. staging, consumption in EWM
- Setup of batch and serial number classification
- ePP/DS–MM–QM – EWM - CO integration understanding
- MES Integration
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
