The End Point Engineer operates as a Tier-1 or Tier-2 Engineer working assignments under the ITIL Incident Management program following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for service and support responsibilities. Ensures high business value and strict adherence to security and operational criteria, proving strong customer services by updating and collaborating with all stakeholders, department resources, vendors and contractors on all manner of assigned, scheduled and/or observable work to be done.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of time, tools and resources in daily procedures, processes and practices for St. Luke’s University Health Network Information Technology Department
Operates as a Tier-1 or Tier-2 Engineer working assignments under the ITIL Incident Management program following “Standard Operating Procedures” (SOP) for service and support responsibilities
Ensures high business value and strict adherence to security and operational criteria, proving strong customer services by updating and collaborating with all stakeholders, department resources, vendors and contractors on all manner of assigned, scheduled and/or observable work to be done.
Provides modern device management support services leveraging products such as SCCM/BIG FIX/IN-TUNE
Updates endpoints according to set schedules, maintaining current versions to ensure cyber protections, product stability and optimal uptime across the enterprise with imaging, patching and remediations
Completes technical documentation updates according to standards and specifications, upkeeps service records, project work and maintenance reports
Provides modern device management support services of endpoint products, executing on assigned processes, services and according to integration schedules
Aids in product and utility R&D, conducts assigned tests, measures, and makes configuration notes to documents and plans, keeps peers, senior engineers and leadership updated
PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS:
Sitting for up to 7 hours per day, 4 hours at a time; standing for up to 7 hours per day, 4 hours at a time; walking for up to 2 hours a day, 1 hour at a time. Requires crouching, kneeling, and lifting of objects weighing up to 60 pounds, pushing objects weighing up to 80 pounds. Requires hand and finger dexterity to perform repairs of small equipment and to use computer equipment.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma/GED required. Associate and/or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Healthcare or other related discipline preferred. Military, Business School or Technical institute Vocational Training preferred.
Industry Preferred Certifications - Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Experience configuring solutions in support of M365 initiatives.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
1-5 years of experience in software systems, specifically Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager preferred. Prior experience in delivery services for operating systems, applications, and patch management preferred. Microsoft Windows, MacOS/iOS, Android, Linux (UX/LX), etc. Experience with thin client device management. Knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as Network, Database, Server, Storage etc.
