Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Carpenters of all skill levels for projects located in or around Virginia Beach, VA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $32/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope – Helper/Apprentice
- Build wooden crates and containers from lumber according to blueprints, drawings, and job orders
- Safely operate hand and power tools, including saws, nail guns, drills, hammers, and related equipment
- Measure, cut, assemble, and fasten crate components to create durable shipping containers
- Assist skilled carpenters with fabrication and construction tasks
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Job Scope – Journeyman Carpenter
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building specifications
- Measure, cut, shape, and join wood, steel, and other construction materials
- Build rough frameworks, walls, floors, doorframes, and concrete forms
- Perform finish carpentry including the installation of doors, windows, molding, hardware, and cabinetry
- Utilize hand and power tools to complete projects accurately and efficiently
- Maintain quality workmanship while adhering to all jobsite safety standards
Requirements
- Previous carpentry, construction, woodworking, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings preferred
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and dependable
