Overview
We are seeking a Senior Fabric Application Developer with 10+ years of overall IT experience and at least 5 years of relevant experience in enterprise application development, Microsoft Fabric, and modern web technologies. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering next-generation Fabric-native business applications that leverage the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, including Fabric Apps, Rayfin, OneLake, Lakehouses, Warehouses, Data Pipelines, Notebooks, SQL Endpoints, and Power BI Semantic Models.
The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering expertise with modern front-end development using TypeScript and React or Angular to build intuitive, secure, and scalable data-driven applications. As Fabric Apps is an emerging capability, the successful candidate will help establish development standards, architecture patterns, and best practices for enterprise application development on Microsoft Fabric.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications using Microsoft Fabric Apps and the Rayfin framework.
- Develop Fabric-native applications integrated with Lakehouses, Warehouses, OneLake, SQL Endpoints, Data Pipelines, Notebooks, Event Streams and Power BI Semantic Models.
- Build reusable application components and services using TypeScript.
- Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces using React or Angular, HTML5 and CSS3 following UI/UX best practices.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Developers and Architects to deliver enterprise analytical applications.
- Integrate applications with REST APIs, Microsoft Graph and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Implement secure, scalable application architecture and reusable design patterns.
- Participate in CI/CD, code reviews and Agile delivery using Git, Azure DevOps and Jira.
- Optimize application performance, accessibility and usability.
- Define Fabric application development standards and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
- 10+ years of overall software development experience.
- 5+ years of relevant enterprise application development experience.
- Strong expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5 and CSS3.
- Hands-on experience with React or Angular.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, Data Pipelines, Notebooks, SQL Endpoints and Power BI Semantic Models).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric Apps and Rayfin; willingness to adopt emerging Fabric capabilities.
- Strong SQL and REST API integration skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID authentication.
- Experience using Git, Azure DevOps/GitHub and Jira.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Fabric Apps and Rayfin.
- Experience with Power BI Embedded or Semantic Models.
- Exposure to Azure services and enterprise integration.
- Knowledge of Power Apps and Power Automate integration.
- Microsoft Fabric, Azure or Power Platform certifications.
- Experience in financial services or enterprise analytics.
