Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
- Build and demonstrate strong domain expertise in CAPRES Magnetic & Electrical Metrology tools.
- Independently own and drive activities from requirements analysis through feature validation and field issue resolution.
- Actively participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring comprehensive test coverage in accordance with established best practices, processes, and procedures.
- Review software designs and provide recommendations to improve product quality, efficiency, and overall business value.
- Define, implement, and maintain quality standards, testing methodologies, processes, and procedures.
- Take complete ownership of end-to-end QA activities for assigned features, ensuring timely and effective validation.
- Perform and coordinate software requirements verification, including allocation, traceability, and testability assessments.
- Develop detailed test plans, including resource estimation and allocation.
- Validate that corrective and preventive actions meet defined quality standards and customer expectations.
- Design and execute test cases to identify software defects and functional issues.
- Analyze, document, and track defects discovered during testing, and provide comprehensive test reports.
- Recommend enhancements to improve software performance, reliability, and user experience.
- Develop automated test solutions using KLA’s automation frameworks to validate functionality, performance, and robustness.
- Enhance and customize automation frameworks to meet evolving project requirements.
- Create and execute automated test scripts utilizing existing automation infrastructure.
- Collaborate with global teams across India, Denmark, and the United States throughout the product lifecycle, including requirements analysis, test planning, test design, and test execution.
- Partner with Hardware, Systems, and Application Engineering teams to understand system requirements and translate them into effective software testing strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
Up to 2 years of experience in Software Test Engineering, with exposure to software quality assurance processes, testing methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience in designing and executing end-to-end test strategies and plans for software features is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience in the planning, design, and execution of both functional and non-functional testing.
Exposure to testing software applications that integrate with and control multiple hardware components is highly desirable.
Practical experience in test automation, including the development and execution of automated test suites across the software testing lifecycle.
- Familiarity with C#-based UI automation frameworks is preferred.
- Experience in developing, customizing, and maintaining automation frameworks is considered a strong plus.
Good understanding of software testing principles, defect management processes, and quality assurance standards.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams throughout the software development and testing lifecycle.
