We are seeking an experienced Technology Specialist – Observability Engineering to lead enterprise observability initiatives using Datadog and modern monitoring practices. The role is responsible for designing scalable observability architectures, establishing monitoring standards, driving platform adoption, and partnering with engineering, operations, cloud, and SRE teams to improve application performance, reliability, and operational visibility across hybrid and cloud environments

## What will your job look like?

Define and own the enterprise observability architecture strategy aligned with business, operational resilience, and digital transformation objectives.

• Design and implement enterprise-scale observability solutions using Datadog across multi-cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
• Develop observability reference architectures, standards, patterns, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency across the organization. ...Architect end-to-end visibility across applications, infrastructure, databases, APIs, cloud platforms, networks, and business transactions.....Establish enterprise-wide monitoring standards, telemetry models, instrumentation frameworks, service taxonomy, and observability best practices.
• Lead onboarding business-critical and complex applications into the observability platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and operational readiness.....Design and implement advanced dashboards, service maps, SLOs, SLIs, synthetic monitoring, Real User Monitoring (RUM), Network Performance Monitoring, and distributed tracing solutions.....Define observability maturity roadmaps and drive adoption of modern observability practices across engineering, operations, and SRE teams....Partner with enterprise architects, cloud architects, platform engineering, security, and application teams to define observability requirements and architecture decisions.

## All you need is...

• 6+ years of experience in Observability, Monitoring, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Production Support, Platform Engineering, or DevOps. ....3+ years of hands-on Datadog administration and engineering experience. ...Strong expertise in:
• Datadog Infrastructure Monitoring
• Datadog APM
• Log Management
• Real User Monitoring (RUM)
• Synthetic Monitoring
• Distributed Tracing
• SLI/SLO Design and Monitoring
• Service Catalog and Service Mapping
• Strong understanding of observability architecture and best practices. ...Deep knowledge of metrics, logs, traces, telemetry, and OpenTelemetry concepts.
• Experience designing monitoring solutions for cloud-native and distributed applications....Strong Linux, networking, and troubleshooting skills.....Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP environments.....Experience with automation using Python, PowerShell, Shell, or similar technologies.....Experience with Infrastructure as Code and platform automation tools such as Terraform.
