How you’ll make an impact
1. You will develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS management systems, policies, and procedures in line with local regulations and Hitachi Energy global standards.
2. You will conduct regular EHS inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions.
3. You will investigate all EHS incidents, accidents, and near misses, determining root causes and implementing preventative measures.
4.You will provide EHS training and awareness programs to all employees, contractors, and visitors, ensuring understanding and compliance.
5. You will prepare and submit all required EHS reports to regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
6. You will manage hazardous waste streams, ensuring proper disposal and compliance with environmental regulations.
7. You will oversee the implementation and maintenance of emergency preparedness and response plans.
8. You will collaborate with various departments to integrate EHS considerations into all business operations and projects.
9. You will stay up-to-date with new EHS legislation, industry best practices, and technological advancements.
10. You will participate in EHS committees and promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.

11. You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in EHS management, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
3. Strong knowledge of Korean EHS laws and regulations (e.g., Industrial Safety and Health Act, Environmental Management Act).
4. Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills in both Korean and English.
6. Proven ability to conduct effective EHS training and awareness programs.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
9. Relevant EHS certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist) are highly desirable.
