WORK SCHEDULE
Days
100% Remote - Your home is your base of operations - Most of your working time is spent outside the home office with regular travel within the territory
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Travel & Mileage Reimbursement
Build and maintain relationships with referring clinics, hospitals and health systems across the central Puget Sound region
You will spend most of your week in the field — visiting practices, sitting down with clinic managers and referral staff, learning what gets in the way of a smooth referral, and bringing that back to our service lines so we can provide remedies
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
UW Medicine’s Strategy Division Business Development Office (BDO) was established to identify, evaluate, and execute on strategic growth opportunities including new markets, partnerships, and external virtual care product offerings that align with UW Medicine’s mission and strategic objectives. The Outreach team sits within the BDO and aligns system-wide outreach efforts, coordinating external engagements and strengthening relationships with outside systems.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position covers a defined UW Medicine “Core” territory of partners in western Washington, from Arlington in the north to Tacoma in the south, west of the Cascade Range with King County making up the core of the territories
- Build and keep working relationships with referring doctors, clinic managers, industry representatives, referral coordinators and health system leaders across the territory
- Plan and run a regular visit cadence for assigned accounts, and document what you learn after each visit
- Work with UW Medicine teams to resolve access problems, scheduling barriers and communication gaps that partners raise
- Represent UW Medicine at regional conferences, continuing education events and partner meetings.
- Share learnings from the field i.e. competitor activity, staffing changes, service gaps and new programs with the outreach team and service line leaders
- Keep account and contact records current in the customer relationship management system
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or Strategic Planning
- Four years of experience in program development and marketing including Outreach, Sales, Planning, Data Analysis, Presentation skills.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements
