About the Department
The GIS eDiscovery and Compliance Operations team is responsible for Franklin Templeton’s Email and other various communication information and data that must be archived in our Data Governance Systems and retained as per the industry regulations and guidelines. Maintaining and monitoring various compliance archiving connectors and performing eDiscovery searches as per the requirements of Compliance, Legal, HR and Audit teams. The ideal self-driven candidate will possess strong communication, leadership and versatile technical skills, be a team player with a drive for success.
What is the Senior IS Analyst - IT Security/Compliance Operations responsible for?
The role is responsible for the ongoing support of Franklin Templeton’s Enterprise Compliance Archiving infrastructure. This requires knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, specializing in Microsoft 365 Purview Compliance Portal and 3rd party data feeds and integrations. The role will also require the candidate to develop automation improvements to ensure system performance, accurate monitoring and service resiliency. This role provides escalated, Tier 2 support, applies advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. This role frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods and works on complex problems/projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth review of multiple factors and exercises independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine the best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

Tier 1 & 2 support for Microsoft 365 Purview Compliance Portal
Manage permissions within MS Purview Compliance Portal based on completion of Access Request form/workflow
Manage corporate retention policies within MS Purview Compliance Portal – Data lifecycle Management
Support eDiscovery cases & surveillance policies (eDiscovery/Communication Compliance)
Support data archiving connectors (including 3rd party connectors) into O365 (Data Connectors)
Solution, document and execute request changes pertaining to MS Purview Compliance Portal
Monitoring and reporting to ensure data quality and service resiliency.
Process design, documentation, and automation.
Work with vendors to resolve stakeholder issues encountered by using compliance tools.
Maintain Microsoft 365 Compliance licensing, as required.
Ability to manage multiple activities in a fast-paced environment
What will help you be successful in this role
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft 365 Purview
Overall 3+ years of industry experience with a background in working with financial institutions and their regulatory requirements surrounding communications retention.
Good Experience with supporting and configuring Microsoft 365 Purview Compliance Center
Experience with PowerShell, Azure Automation Runbook, Logic App or similar scripting languages
Experience in working with at least one of the financial services industry’s major regulatory data archive vendors
Proficient in use of Outlook/Exchange Online, SharePoint, Microsoft 365 Purview Compliance Portal, Microsoft Teams, ServiceNow and other database functionality/concepts
General understanding of FINRA regulations and Compliance
Good interpersonal skills and positive work ethics
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong problem solving, analytical skills and technical aptitude.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously.
Able to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Effective partnership & collaboration
Good documentation skills using PowerPoint, Confluence, Microsoft Visio and other documentation tools
