MUFG is seeking a Director for its Derivatives Solutions Group (DSG) in Dubai, offering you the opportunity to join a globally respected financial institution renowned for its commitment to excellence and client-centric approach. What you'll do:
- Manage and develop relationships with key MUFG Bank clients including corporates, financial sponsors, project finance companies and others to expand the department’s international business and enhance the franchise of MUFG Securities.
- Accurately price, model, execute, and book all relevant transactions as well as risk positions while maintaining meticulous attention to detail throughout each stage of the process.
- Share pricing requests with relevant trading desks such as XVA and CVA desk by providing accurate information required for timely pricing decisions.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams including Debt Capital Markets, Project Finance, Leveraged Finance and more to promote cross-selling opportunities across the firm.
- Lead the production of tailor-made client presentations and pitch-books that incorporate news updates, economic data, and macro themes relevant to customer needs.
- Oversee all internal workstreams for clients including KYC procedures, legal documentation preparation, lifecycle management of trades, and resolution of any issues arising during trade lifecycles.
- Collaborate closely with other members of the DSG team by covering client requests when needed to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Contribute actively to new initiatives or product development as determined by the head of DSG team to keep offerings fresh and responsive to market demands.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements applicable to both MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc by operating on an entity-neutral basis without favour.
- Identify potential conflicts between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc needs; escalate issues appropriately while maintaining legal entity integrity.
What you bring:
- Solid experience in a similar role within derivatives sales or structuring is essential for success in this position.
- Existing client relationships within the MENA region are highly valued as they demonstrate your ability to connect effectively with local stakeholders.
- Proven expertise in interest rate derivatives products including swaps, structured products and FX instruments is required.
- Bachelor’s degree is mandatory; advanced qualifications such as MBA, MSc or CFA are considered advantageous or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (including Excel for modelling transactions and PowerPoint for preparing presentations) are necessary.
- Demonstrated ability in preparing detailed client presentations and term sheets that communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Fluency in English is required for effective communication across diverse teams and clients.
- Outstanding communication skills enable you to build rapport quickly while conveying technical information accurately.
- Results-driven mindset paired with accountability ensures you consistently meet desk revenue targets through trade execution.
- A proactive approach combined with strong organisational skills allows you to manage large workloads efficiently under tight deadlines.
