About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Specialty Software Engineer to join our Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology organization, supporting the Fixed Income Spread Technology team. In this role, you will help shape the next generation of low-latency trading technology by designing and delivering real-time micro UI solutions that support pricing, risk management, and electronic trading across Fixed Income markets. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and global financial markets, partnering closely with traders, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to build scalable, high-performance applications that drive critical business outcomes. You will play a key role in advancing innovative trading capabilities, improving operational efficiency, and delivering technology solutions that help our clients and businesses navigate dynamic market environments. In this role, you will:

• Lead complex initiatives on selected domains
• Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk
• Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost
• Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies
• Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
• Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
• Mentor less experienced software engineers
• Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
• Lead team to achieve objectives
• Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 5+ years of experience with HTML5, JavaScript, CSS
• 5+ years of experience with Typescript
• 5+ years of experience with Angular/React
• 5+ years of experience with JSON, REST, XML

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience deploying and supporting applications using web server technologies such as Apache Tomcat, IIS, or NGINX
• Experience with automated UI testing and performance testing practices using tools such as Selenium and browser developer tools
• Knowledge of Fixed Income products and trading workflows within capital markets
• Understanding of bond pricing, risk, P&L, and position management concepts
• Understanding of trade lifecycle processes and end-of-day valuation activities
• Experience building and supporting real-time user interfaces using streaming or event-driven technologies
• Experience with desktop interoperability and container frameworks such as OpenFin, Glue42, Finsemble, or similar technologies

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities. $159,000.00 - $254,000.00
