Junior Data Security Officer (iGaming)

About the Role:

Om behalf of our client in the iGaming industry ,we are seeking a Junior Data Security Officer to join our team in São Paulo. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s information security program. This role ensures the protection of sensitive data, including customer, financial, and operational information, while supporting compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain information security policies, standards, and procedures
• Oversee the protection of customer and business data across systems, networks, and platforms
• Monitor and manage security risks, vulnerabilities, and threats
• Implement and maintain security controls aligned with industry standards.
• Coordinate security incident response, investigation, and remediation
• Conduct regular risk assessments, penetration testing coordination, and vulnerability scans
• Work closely with IT, Compliance, and Product teams to ensure secure system design and deployment
• Oversee access control, identity management, and data encryption practices
• Support audits, regulatory reviews, and internal compliance processes
• Manage third-party/vendor security assessments and due diligence

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field
• 1–2 years of experience in information security or cybersecurity roles
• Working experience in iGaming industry is an advantage.
• Familiarity with payments systems, KYC environments, and fraud prevention is an advantage
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus
• Fluency in Portuguese and professional proficiency in English
