Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Identity Management in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic technology data center environment, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a secure, professional atmosphere for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and help address security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to authorized personnel, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, security-related policies, and emergency response activities at a technology data center location.
• Monitor access points, credential verification systems, visitor management processes, and delivery activity; verify authorization and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and required notifications to site leadership and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, perimeter access points, loading areas, and critical infrastructure spaces, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Document incidents, access-control exceptions, patrol observations, and shift activities in clear, timely reports while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive operational information.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess a college degree.
• Type at least 40 words per minute.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
