This is a great opportunity to join an established Cape Town-based manufacturing business in a broad finance role with real exposure to costing, pricing, margins, stock and operational decision-making.
What makes the opportunity interesting?
You won’t be sitting in a narrow reporting role. You’ll work closely with the operational side of the business, helping management understand costs, margins and pricing while keeping a strong handle on the core financial accounting function.
Depending on your experience, there is also scope for the role to grow beyond a single entity and into broader group-level responsibility.
You’ll get involved in:
- Monthly management accounts, budgeting and financial analysis
- Costing and margin analysis
- Pricing reviews and assessing the impact of supplier increases
- Updating pricing for manufactured recipes
- Inventory control and coordinating stock counts
- Reviewing stock balances and margins
- Month-end processing and general ledger accounting
- Bills of materials
- Supporting branches and management with financial information and analysis
- Oversight of tax and compliance submissions
