Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Training and supervision of personnel
- Maintenance of testing and production equipment
- Provide technical support to sales and operations groups
- Development of new steel grades
- Design and manage trials for product and process improvements
- Timely disposition and release of products for shipment
- Analyze process and product data to improve safety, quality, productivity, and costs
- Participate in ongoing education by attending technical conferences and training
- Maintain quality documentation
Qualifications
Required
- B.S. in Metallurgical / Materials Engineering (or equivalent degree)
Preferred
- Rolling mill experience
- NDT experience
