Description
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Audiovisual Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, scheduling and maintaining, a wide range of audiovisual systems across various environments. Your expertise will ensure seamless operation of AV VTC equipment, enhance live event production, and support cutting-edge communication solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from corporate conference rooms to large-scale event venues, leveraging your technical skills and passion for AV technology to deliver exceptional user experiences.
This is a TWO (2) month 1099 contract to begin September 21st - November 21st with 40 hours per week for 8 hours of time onsite at a high end client office
Responsibilities:
Broadcast Event Preparation
- Coordinate with stakeholders to confirm meeting objectives, presenter requirements, attendee format, content-sharing needs, and remote participant expectations.
- Perform pre-event checks of displays, microphones, speakers, cameras, touch panels, conferencing platforms, room connectivity, and control systems.
- Validate Logi Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), Yealink MTR, and QSC solutions before broadcast events and executive meetings.
- Test audio pickup, speaker output, camera framing, content sharing, network connectivity, Teams join flow, laptops, adapters, microphones, and presenter tools.
- Identify technical risks in advance, recommend mitigation steps, and prepare the room layout, technology setup, and operational checklist for the important onsite meeting.
Live Event and Meeting Execution Support
- Provide onsite white-glove coverage for client important meeting and other high-priority live sessions.
- Arrive early to verify room readiness, validate audio/video, and prepare presenters before attendees join.
- Assist executives, presenters, and hosts with joining sessions, sharing content, adjusting audio/video settings, and resolving immediate issues.
- Monitor live meetings discreetly, support hybrid participation, and quickly address audio, video, display, collaboration, or room-control issues.
- Escalate issues to AV, IT, network, facilities, or vendor teams when needed and communicate status clearly until resolved.
Room Sweeps and Readiness Checks
- Conduct scheduled room sweeps to confirm spaces are clean, organized, operational, and ready for use.
- Inspect and test Logi MTR, Yealink MTR, QSC audio, displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, touch panels, cabling, adapters, remotes, batteries, and peripherals.
- Confirm Teams room configuration, document issues found, resolve what can be addressed immediately, escalate as needed, and validate rooms after fixes.
Operational Coverage and User Support
- Provide day-to-day OMS support for meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, broadcast environments, and user questions during the engagement.
- Help users start meetings, connect devices, present content, use room controls, and troubleshoot common AV, collaboration, and Teams issues.
- Share observations, recurring issues, user concerns, readiness status, and improvement opportunities with the appropriate point of contact or service provider contact.
