Organizational Data Services Subject Matter Expert
In this role You will:
- Lead the design and implementation of robust data management strategies, including extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes, to ensure high-quality and accessible organizational data.
- Act as a primary point of contact for complex data-related queries, providing expert guidance and solutions to internal stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the data services team and across departments, promoting agile core practices.
- Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes, systems, and best practices, contributing to organizational knowledge.
- Champion information security best practices within data management, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement in data services through the application of creativity and innovation in problem-solving and solution design.
- Manage and influence change initiatives related to data systems and processes, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption.
- Provide expert advice and support on employee and labour relations matters concerning data privacy and access.
- Contribute to project and program management activities, specifically focusing on data-related work streams and deliverables.
- Incorporate a global perspective into data solution design, considering diverse business needs and regulatory landscapes.
- Design and implement customer-centric data services, focusing on user experience and satisfaction.
- Oversee end-to-end planning, execution, and monitoring of data-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, and track progress using established project management methodologies.
- Identify project risks and issues proactively, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
- Prepare project reports, status updates, and documentation for leadership and stakeholders.
What You will need to be successful:
- A university degree or equivalent experience or professional qualification
- 6+ years of relevant previous experience preferably working with Workday system
- Demonstrated ability to administer People and Culture systems and processes efficiently and effectively
- Able to triage and provide basic and advice and support to remote access population and knows when to seek support from senior colleagues
- Strong customer service skills
- Digital fluency – strong systems and computer skills and experience across full spectrum of Office programmes and analytical support tools
- Numeracy & analytical thinking – able to quickly and effectively generate and analyse a range of data to deliver accurate and timely information to inform business decisions
- Risk Management – acts with high level of integrity and respect for data privacy. Takes steps to mitigate against risks in this space and knows when to call out any concerns
- Solutions focus – seeks to identify solutions and make improvements to processes which will contribute to the business and enhance ways of working
- Relationship management – Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers. Is building and applying skills in active listening and can communicate effectively (written and verbal)
- Eye for business & customer focus– keeps up to date with internal and external context, seeks to understand the relationship between their activity and the local business drivers. Aware that People and Culture is an enabler of the business and seeks to ensure People and Culture solutions lead to enhanced business
- Is continually enhancing self-awareness and actively seeks input from others on impact and effectiveness
- Excellent personal organisational skills – good balance of being proactive and reactive; ability to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks on time
- Applies judgment and common sense- able to use insight and good judgement to inform actions taken and ensure solutions are pragmatic

- Works well independently and as a member of the team, proactively providing support to colleague
