Requirements

 

What You’ll Do

  • Create a warm, safe, and engaging classroom environment
  • Provide responsive, developmentally appropriate care for infants and toddlers
  • Plan and implement learning experiences that support each child’s individual development
  • Establish consistent routines that promote security, trust, and independence
  • Observe children’s progress and maintain required documentation
  • Partner with families and communicate regularly about their child’s development
  • Support children’s health, nutrition, safety, and social-emotional well-being
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers, family-service staff, and program leadership
  • Follow Early Head Start, licensing, health, safety, and confidentiality requirements

  • Passionate about working with infants, toddlers, and families
  • Able to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
  • Organized and able to complete required records and documentation
  • Willing to learn and participate in ongoing training
  • Able to successfully complete required background checks and health screenings

An Infant and Toddler Child Development Associate credential, Early Childhood Education coursework, or a related degree is preferred—but we encourage candidates who are still building their qualifications to apply.
