Technical Business Development Manager - Process

Description

The Technical Business Development Manager – Process is responsible for driving Process filtration growth through OEM, Engineer, and EPC engagement, prioritizing MRO, installed-base expansion, and aftermarket pull-through over one-time capital projects. The role focuses on influencing specifications, securing repeat production programs, and building recurring revenue streams via replacement elements, consumables, and lifecycle support. Growth will be achieved through targeted sales initiatives, multi-channel distribution, and close alignment with internal teams and external engineering stakeholders. Success in this position is measured by aftermarket share growth, specification wins, serial production adoption, and long-term customer retention.

• Develop and expand serial production opportunities and increase aftermarket and MRO sales for the Process product line, enhancing the Company’s market presence and long-term customer value.
• Build and strengthen relationships with OEMs, engineering firms, EPCs, distributors, and end users, positioning the Company as a trusted technical and lifecycle partner.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Process and fluid-conditioning product portfolio, end-market applications, competitive landscape, and pricing structures.
• Understand customer system requirements and translate those needs into appropriate product and system solutions, with consideration for total cost of ownership, serviceability, and long-term maintenance.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, including product management, engineering, sales, and operations to support pre-sales activities, specification development, and solution design.
• Identify and recommend product improvements, localization opportunities, and new product concepts to support profitability and sustainable growth.
• Support and coordinate activities with Regional Sales Managers, Direct Market Sales Managers, and authorized distributors to ensure consistent execution of sales strategies.
• Document customer interactions, technical requirements, and solution outcomes in CRM and internal reporting systems.
• Analyze market trends, customer data, and competitive activity, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Support and help implement sales and business development strategies aligned with Company objectives.
• Plan, prioritize, and manage assigned projects to meet defined goals and timelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a two-year technical degree is required. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Sales or Marketing or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience or combination of education and experience is required.
• Knowledge of process water/compressed gases is preferred.
• Experience with technical service is preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.  

Certificates and Licenses

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A valid passport is preferred.

Other Requirements

• Traveling (including driving) is required. Overnight travel of 2-3 nights per week is frequent.
