The GE Vernova Gas Power Monitoring and Diagnostics (M&D) Center is a world-class facility overseeing 900+ power plants and 3,000+ assets. As an M&D Insight Engineer, you are the frontline technical authority responsible for identifying power plant abnormalities and delivering actionable insights. Your mission is to proactively optimize customer asset availability, reliability, and thermal efficiency through rigorous data analysis and expert communication, directly influencing the operational success of our global fleet.

Job Description

Essential Functions

• Frontline Diagnostics: Execute high-quality, timely technical recommendations for customers by monitoring and analyzing turbine operational data.
• Urgent Troubleshooting: Serve as the first point of contact for remote turbine technical issues; provide immediate, data-driven guidance to mitigate operational risks.
• Technical Communication: Act as the primary interface between the M&D center, internal technical teams, and external customers; ensure operational concerns are documented, understood, and addressed with clarity and precision.
• Operational Excellence: Implement Lean-driven improvements for M&D workflows; contribute to the development of new diagnostic coverage strategies to increase productivity and asset uptime.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Senior Engineers to develop and validate technical solutions for complex fleet challenges.
• Product Expertise: Continuously develop a deep understanding of GE Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, and Generator systems to contribute effectively to existing and emerging service offerings.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Shift Requirement: Ability and willingness to work a rotating schedule (Day, Evening, or Night shifts) including non-standard weekends to support 24/7 global operations.
