Manager, Brand Stewardship & Governance

The Manager, Brand Stewardship & Governance plays a key role in protecting and elevating the Four Seasons brand by advancing brand stewardship as an enterprise discipline. This role drives the governance, processes, and decision frameworks that ensure every brand expression, large or small, aligns with our purpose, strengthens brand consistency and builds long-term brand value.

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Communications Planning & Brand Stewardship, the Manager plays a key role in the continued establishment of the stewardship function, helping define governance frameworks, processes, and success measures that guide brand expression across the organization. The role leads the coordination, execution and integration of corporate and regional governance forums, enabling alignment while supporting thoughtful, locally relevant initiatives. It also supports governance of brand collaborations, including structured review processes to ensure alignment with brand standards and strategic priorities.

Serving as a trusted resource and partner to corporate, regional, and property teams, as well as external partners, the role provides strategic guidance to uphold brand standards and strengthen brand health. The Manager also drives the operationalization of brand expression through tools, resources, and learning initiatives that enable consistent application across all touchpoints.

The position champions brand stewardship as a shared organizational responsibility, influencing how the brand is understood and applied across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Governance And Process Management

  • Establish and manage enterprise governance frameworks, processes, and decision pathways to enable consistent, transparent, and scalable brand execution across the organization.
  • Manage the coordination and execution of corporate governance forums and support regional governance forums to ensure alignment, clear decision-making, and consistent follow-through.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure governance forums reflect an enterprise-wide view of initiatives, with clear criteria, inputs, and cadence that enable effective and consistent decision-making.
  • Manage centralized intake and triage of brand stewardship requests, ensuring initiatives are directed through the appropriate governance pathways.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance, Commercial Enablement and Marketing, to identify, assess, and mitigate brand-related risk across initiatives.
  • Ensure governance decisions are documented, communicated, and consistently applied across teams, strengthening brand consistency; escalate complex or high-risk issues where required.
  • Support governance for brand collaborations and partnerships, ensuring alignment with brand standards and strategic priorities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify priority areas for brand audits, and support the planning and execution of targeted audits to assess compliance with brand standards and identify opportunities to strengthen brand expression.

Stakeholder Advisory and Integration

  • Act as a trusted advisor to corporate, regional, and property teams, as well as external partners, on brand stewardship and governance.
  • Provide strategic, actionable guidance to ensure all brand expressions align with our purpose, are applied consistently, and uphold brand integrity.
  • Guide stakeholders through governance processes and decision requirements, ensuring clarity, alignment, and efficient progression of initiatives.
  • Navigate complex or ambiguous brand challenges, providing clear direction and escalating where required.
  • Support prioritization of brand-related initiatives, focusing on those that drive the greatest impact on long-term brand strength and enterprise-wide objectives.
  • Partner with corporate, regional, and property teams on key initiatives, facilitating working sessions and workshops to ensure alignment with brand stewardship principles.
  • Champion brand stewardship through internal presentations, quarterly reporting, leadership engagement, and performance storytelling to reinforce its value across the organization.

Enablement, Adoption & Performance

  • Operationalize the enterprise brand stewardship strategy through tools, templates, and platforms that enable consistent and scalable application across touchpoints.
  • Manage and continuously evolve central brand platforms and resource hubs, ensuring content is current, accessible, and easy to apply across teams.
  • Drive implementation of the brand stewardship and governance roadmap, coordinating key initiatives and ensuring progress against defined priorities.
  • Manage the rollout of brand expression updates, ensuring clear, well-paced communication, stakeholder alignment, and consistent implementation across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain practical guidance and resources that translate brand standards into execution and enable consistent application across teams.
  • Curate best-in-class examples and case studies to inspire and reinforce high-quality, on-brand execution across touchpoints.
  • Support training and learning initiatives, driving adoption through structured communication, engagement, and change management processes.
  • Support the development and tracking of brand stewardship success measures and performance indicators.
  • Monitor brand health and governance outcomes, using insights to improve effectiveness and inform continuous evolution of the function.
  • Identify recurring challenges and translate them into clear guidance, improved tools, and scalable solutions.
  • Leverage technology, tools, and frameworks to enhance governance efficiency, streamline processes, and enable more agile ways of working

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Brand Management, Business, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in communications, public relations, or marketing disciplines, with a focus on brand governance and stewardship within a complex, global organization; experience within luxury hospitality or a related industry is an asset.
  • Extensive experience in brand stewardship, governance, or operations within communications and marketing functions in a complex, global organization.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement frameworks, processes, and tools that enable consistent execution and effective decision-making.
  • Experience managing governance processes, including reviews, forums, audits, risk identification and decision tracking.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to influence and align senior leaders, teams, and external partners.
  • Experience supporting change management and adoption of new frameworks, tools, or ways of working across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing governance operations, including coordinating forums, tracking decisions, and maintaining clear workflows and approval pathways.
  • Strong capability in developing and maintaining frameworks, guidelines, and tools that enable consistent brand application across touchpoints.
  • Experience building and managing tracking systems, dashboards, and reporting to support governance visibility, accountability, and decision-making.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data, identify trends, and generate insights to inform brand health and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to structure and manage workflows, including intake, prioritization, risk identification, and mitigation across multiple initiatives.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives from planning through implementation, ensuring alignment to brand standards and governance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel) and familiarity with project management and workflow tools (e.g., monday.com or similar), as well as familiarity with brand governance tools, digital asset management systems, or content platforms.

Annual Base Salary Range: $100,000 – $125,000 CAD + additional rewards as part of the total compensation package.

This role will be a Hybrid working model, which will require 3 days per week in the Four Seasons Corporate Office located at 1165 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario #LI-Hybrid
