Lead a high-performing motor claims team while delivering outstanding service.
Join Sedgwick as a Motor Claims Team Leader to manage, support, and develop a team of motor damage claim handlers. Combining people leadership with technical claims expertise, you will oversee the effective handling of motor claims and complaints, ensuring exceptional customer outcomes, strong client relationships and delivery against key service standards.
In this varied and rewarding role, you will provide day-to-day leadership, coaching and technical guidance to your team, creating an environment where colleagues can thrive and perform at their best. Acting as a key technical referral point, you'll support the handling of complex claims and complaints while ensuring claims are managed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with client requirements, regulatory obligations and internal quality standards.
You will work closely with clients, stakeholders and colleagues across the business to build strong relationships, drive service excellence and ensure all KPIs and service level agreements are consistently achieved. With responsibility for monitoring performance, maintaining data integrity and ensuring high-quality claims management, you'll also identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the service.

The skills you will have when you apply:
- Motor Claims Leadership Experience – Proven experience leading, coaching or supervising claims professionals within a motor claims environment, or someone with the appropriate skills set looking to make their next career move,
- Motor Claims Expertise – Strong knowledge of Motor Damage claims processes, and procedures accompanied by experience of handling claims through their lifecycle.
- Professional Qualifications – CIP qualification (or higher) is essential. Quality Assurance experience would be advantageous.
- Client Relationship Management – Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Technical Proficiency – Strong IT literacy, including experience using claims management systems and databases.
- Performance & Operational Management – Experience managing team performance against KPIs and service level agreements, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Quality & Technical Knowledge – Strong technical claims knowledge with the ability to act as a referral point and support colleagues with complex claims matters.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset – Ability to identify opportunities to enhance processes, improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Communication & Influencing Skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Organisational & Problem-Solving Ability – Strong planning, prioritisation and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain focused under pressure.
