Job Description

Financial Advisory Act (FAA) & Regulatory Compliance

  • Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Bank's Financial Advisory framework, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

  • Provide advisory support and guidance to business units on FAA requirements, regulatory obligations, and policy interpretation.

  • Partner with Group Compliance and relevant stakeholders to assess regulatory developments and support implementation of required changes.

  • Support initiatives relating to Fair Dealing and customer outcome frameworks, including the implementation of MAS Fair Dealing Outcomes.

  • Conduct reviews and testing to assess compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and internal controls.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes and controls while balancing business effectiveness and regulatory expectations.

Operational Risk & Conduct Risk

  • Provide risk advisory support to the business on operational risk and conduct risk matters.

  • Support the oversight of risk assessments, control monitoring, incident management, and risk reporting activities (e.g. KRCSA, KORI, MRA, RRA).

  • Monitor key risk indicators and emerging risk trends, and escalate issues where appropriate.

  • Support the investigation of risk events and contribute to root cause analysis and remediation tracking.

Governance & Risk Oversight

  • Support risk and control governance activities across Group Retail.

  • Coordinate audit, regulatory, and compliance reviews, and monitor the implementation of remediation actions.

  • Prepare risk reports, management updates, and governance materials for relevant forums and committees.

  • Support risk awareness and capability-building initiatives through communication and training programmes.

Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with Compliance, Legal, Operations, Product, and Business teams on regulatory, conduct, and risk matters.

  • Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to resolve issues, strengthen controls, and drive timely remediation.

  • Foster a culture of effective risk management and continuous improvement across the business.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 6-10 years of relevant experience in Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Assurance, or Business Controls within the financial services industry.

  • Good understanding of MAS regulations, Financial Advisers Act requirements, and conduct risk management practices.

  • Familiarity with Retail Banking and Wealth Management products and advisory processes.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risks and identify practical solutions.

  • Good stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence across functions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.

  • Degree in Finance, Business, Accountancy, Law, Risk Management, or a related discipline.

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
