Applications Engineer

## What you’ll do:

The Applications Engineer supports the profitable growth of B-Line product sales by providing technical engineering expertise throughout the customer project lifecycle. This role combines engineering design, drafting, technical support, and sales collaboration to deliver safe, compliant, and cost-effective MEPF structural support solutions. The position serves as a key technical resource for customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders, with a focus on cable tray, bolted framing, seismic, and equipment support systems.

• Provide technical support and application engineering for B-Line MEPF structural support products across all project phases.
• Develop 2D and 3D engineering drawings, layouts, assembly drawings, installation details, submittal packages, and production documentation.
• Design and model support systems that comply with project specifications, applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
• Prepare bill of materials (BOM), engineering service take-offs, and technical quotations to support sales and project execution.
• Review engineering drawings and models for accuracy, constructability, completeness, and alignment with field conditions.
• Collaborate with customers, sales teams, manufacturing, and engineering stakeholders to deliver practical and cost-effective solutions.
• Investigate technical issues, provide engineering recommendations, and support field problem resolution when required.
• Maintain project documentation, contribute to drafting standards and design templates, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a primary technical contact for drawing clarifications, project coordination, and application-related inquiries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

## Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in applications engineering, design engineering, drafting, or a related technical engineering environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and at least one 3D CAD platform (e.g., SolidWorks or similar).
• Experience developing engineering drawings, BOMs, submittal packages, and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of MEPF support systems, structural supports, equipment supports, or related industrial/construction applications.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, project coordination, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with Revit or other BIM software platforms.

• Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools and basic engineering analysis.

• Experience supporting projects in Oil & Gas, Power, Mining, Data Center, Industrial, or Commercial Construction sectors.

• Knowledge of seismic restraint systems and non-structural component support design.
