Mission Systems Resilient Connectivity Products (RCP) Engineering is seeking a dynamic Senior Engineering Manager of Electrical Engineering to lead an Electrical Engineering section within RCP Hardware Technologies.

 

In this role, you will drive innovative, mission-critical solutions that empower defense customers with cutting-edge technology. This position requires onsite presence located in Cedar Rapids, IA.

 

What You Will Do

• Lead the RF electrical engineering execution for both internally and externally funded programs and IR&D projects, ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction.
• Set clear, measurable team goals and communicate expectations effectively.
• Oversee all direct line management responsibilities for the section, including communication, performance management, career development, and talent acquisition.
• Support department-level and SBU-level initiatives.
• Ensure employee adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Provide oversight and guidance for personnel issue resolution.
• Drive innovation strategies through collaboration with internal and external customers and partner organizations across the company.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external networks, developing relationships across Mission Systems Engineering, General Management, and Operations.

 

Qualifications You Must Have

• Strong verbal and written communication skills suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated experience building, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
• Proven ability to drive accountability and successfully meet project deadlines, cost targets, and quality standards.
• Highly self-motivated and enthusiastic leader.
• Demonstrated understanding of RF designs.
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with Special Access Programs.
• Familiarity with RF designs.
• Experience with leading cross functional teams.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) or similar budget-tracking tools.
• Familiarity with bid, proposal, and earned value methodologies.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
