Job Description

Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of information-related risks across the organisation.
Own the enterprise-wide data risk register and ensure regular updates and reporting to senior management.
Oversee the implementation of risk controls and monitor their effectiveness, escalating issues as required.

• Develop and maintain the information risk management framework, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and business risk appetite.
• Conduct regular risk assessments on information assets, processes, and third-party data handling.
• Advise business units on risk mitigation strategies for data privacy, security breaches, and regulatory non-compliance.
• Coordinate incident response for information risk events, including data breaches and policy violations.
• Report on key risk indicators (KRIs) and emerging threats to the Chief Data and Analytics Officer and relevant governance committees.
• Ensure risk management practices are embedded in all information governance initiatives and projects.
• Support regulatory inspections and internal reviews.
• Educate stakeholders on governance principles and best practices.
• Partner with FSR Information Governance leads on setting Group standards through existing workgroups.
• Contribute to the development and execution of the information governance strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Driving metrics and roadmap activities to enhance maturity.
• Identifying governance requirements and implementing standards and processes.
• Embedding governance into business processes and operations.
• Measure and report on governance KPIs.
• Provide guidance and advisory support on governance practices to enable informed decision-making.
• Deliver training and awareness programmes to stakeholders on governance disciplines and capabilities.
• Optimise governance processes and ensure their implementation across business units.
